UMGOSI

‘Ukunyeya’..we all have done it before and probably still do it.Gossiping has become natural and its true.There is actually no place which l can point to and say its gossip free.There is actually one place l want to talk to about and its always abuzz with gossip ,Salons. I don’t know if its in all salons  ,but the few that l know gossip is there .No offence intended.At this particular salon they were ‘talking’ about their fellow colleague ….”vele uyancitshana , angim’nyeyi lani liyakwazi uyancitshana ..”Personally l think the minute you say  ‘angim’nyeyi’ thats gossip.So these ladies continued to talk about their workmate and it was becoming interesting .lt’s always fun to listen to those stories you know .Then l realised that nomatter how bad what the person has done or is doing,there is always that one person who will stand up for her …”hayi bakithi , vele abanye badalwa njalo .Kakwanisi ukusebenzisa labanye into zakhe.” But you should listen to the comments after .
And by the corner there , there was the barber guy .He was quiet ,with his earphones on and glued to his phone ,those guys are hardly busy.Then a girl comes in and goes straight to the guy.It is funny how the conversation changed from talking about their colleague to the girl who just passed by…”aaah vele u****** kakwazi ukukhetha amagirlfriend..” l cracked up after that comment because it was just funny and l could not help it
l very much enjoy gossip if its other people talking and lm just laughing. It has been given names…umgosi,idotcom,imbewu,inyaya and so forth .
Gossip is now there even in churches ,in a place where its being taught how bad umgosi is .
