The one that got away

So after all these years l still think about him.I think of the things that we could have done together and achieved, the fights and the make ups. The things we did together and no one understood-we didn’t care.He was everything l wanted in a man…l think.l had no expectations it was simply love “as is.” You should know that expectations in a relationship are just your requirements for accepting that you love someone.lt is not easy to show someone that you love them but he made it easy for me to see it and believe him ,or maybe l was in too deep! You know we would sit and talk about our future ,me and him little did l know that was in another life. A life that l will never get to live in .Maybe in that life we would get to live all of our dreams and fulfil our goals together.Never did l plan that l will lose you ,it wouldn’t have made sense.You were mine forever but that was just until l realised all that could happen in another life which l can never be a part of .Now that karma has caught up with me ,l realise that l have to stay and let you go,isn’t that’s what love is all about sometimes??..letting the ones you love go ? Since that time l relate to Katey Perry’s song-the one that got away.In another life l would make you stay …the one that got away.
