First cut is the deepest

My first cut was in 2006….l was in grade six .l know you asking yourself what l knew about those things at such a tender age ,but l was smitten .Please do not judge.To be honest l think l liked him even before grade six…he showed the signs of interest in me first, if that helps.We were in the same class , rarely spoke but we both knew what was happening.We also happened to be staying in the same hood ,making things easy because we would walk home together-even though we weren’t only the two of us.
We would play games at school.There is one game l will never forget and l will always cherish it…’Nyama yembongolo khetha omthandayo’ .So this one time he happened to be the mbongolo and he chose ME !!!! I believe he chose me for a reason ,l was a happy girl.
Sadly l had to transfere to another school , l knew l was going to miss him ..l did. That didn’t change anything ,it actually made things to happen .l remember one afternoon walking home with my new friends from the new school , we saw him and his friends. I always panicked whenever l saw him ,sometimes l had to passby running .So one of his friends called me and l stopped, told me HE wanted to talk to me…so l waited for him to come .He was shy and so was l but it didnt stop him from telling me ,”Ng’yakuncanywa” …hehe those words !!! l blushed and blushed and blushed “Ng’zakutshela ksasa” is what l said and the next day l did tell him “eye”…it was love.Hehehe  he was my first love ….my first cut. I miss him  .
